Board of Trustees Academic Scholarships.

Please download the application form from this website. Application forms must be returned to The Secretary, Board of Trustees, Stratford High School, by Friday 20th August, 2010.

The scholarship tests will take place on Wednesday 1st September, 2010, commencing at 10.00 aam at the High School. Students will need to bring writing materials (pen, pencil and rubber). Students will be given refreshments but may bring a water bottle if they choose.

Please report to the main entrance of the school by 9.50 am on Wednesday 1st September, 2010. It is anticipated that the tests will be completed by 12 noon and students can be collected from the foyer.

Board of Trustees Academic Scholarships Terms and Conditions

The Stratford High School Board of Trustees is offering academic scholarships for students intending to enrol as Year 9 students next year. Up to five scholarships will be awarded with a value of $400 each.

The scholarship exams will be sat at Stratford High School on Wednesday 1st September, 2010 at 10.00 am. Students will need to be at the main school foyer by 9.50 am and can be picked up from there at 12 noon.

Terms of the Award.

  1. The scholarship will be awarded for up to five years. Continuation of the scholarship each year is dependant on satisfactory academic achievement (Graduation with Excellence in Year 9 and 10, Merit endorsement and Excellent endorsement gained in NCEA at level 1 and 2).
  2. The scholarship is only available for use while the student is currently enrolled at Stratford High School.
  3. The amount of the scholarship and the number of scholarships awarded each year will be at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
  4. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement. Applicants will sit tests in English and Mathematics.
  5. The scholarship will take the form of an account at Stratford High School against which the student could charge school expenses such as: uniform costs, sports fees and equipment costs, school fees and any other school related expenses.
