Greetings and welcome, Kia ora tatou katoa

Stratford High School has a proud history of providing quality secondary education to Stratford and the surrounding area since 1897.

The school mottoPalma non sine pulvere or No reward without effort symbolises the value placed on achievement and application. This approach is further promoted in our mission statement “Stratford High School will inspire everyone to reach their potential in a safe supportive environment”.

To achieve this requires a partnership between the student, the family and the school. As a school we aim to provide the best possible programmes, staff, resources and facilities. We rely on the positive support of families and caregivers to encourage and value their children’s education. Students are expected to take a positive approach to learning and make every effort to work co-operatively with staff and other students.

We offer a progressive approach to the educational needs of our community and aim to continue to serve the Stratford area as an excellent co-educational secondary school. Our current school prospectus is available on this link: 2012 SHS Prospectus

Thank you for your interest in our school.
